DESIGNING THE IDENTITY
FOR RISING STARS CRICKET ACADEMY
Rising Stars Cricket Academy is a youth-focused sports brand built around coaching, fitness, and community. The identity needed to feel energetic and competitive while remaining approachable for young athletes, parents, and programme partners across a growing academy network.
The visual direction channels upward momentum through bold typography, a dynamic starburst mark, and a high-contrast palette of deep purple, red, and navy. Together, these elements create a brand system that feels athletic, memorable, and ready to scale across coaching environments, apparel, and promotional touchpoints.
THE CHALLENGE
Rising Stars needed an identity that could communicate performance and ambition without feeling intimidating to younger players. The challenge was to create a mark that worked equally well on academy signage, training apparel, digital campaigns, and merchandise—while still feeling distinct within a competitive youth sports landscape.
The solution was to evolve the concept from a literal star-and-bat approach into a more dynamic wordmark system—using angular typography, motion-led composition, and a vibrant starburst form that could carry the brand across every touchpoint with confidence.
A LOGO BUILT AROUND MOMENTUM AND YOUTH ENERGY
The final logo uses a jagged starburst form to create impact and forward motion, framing a bold stacked wordmark that feels athletic and unmistakable at a distance. The angled letterforms introduce a sense of rise and acceleration, echoing the academy’s focus on growth, progression, and competitive spirit.
The gradient shift from red into magenta adds heat and dynamism, while the deep navy typography grounds the mark with strength and clarity. The result is a compact identity that reads powerfully on uniforms, outdoor signage, digital banners, and branded equipment.
BUILDING A FLEXIBLE BRAND SYSTEM
Beyond the core logo, the project included a visual system for applying the identity across campaign materials and academy touchpoints. This included logo placement guidance, colour usage, typography hierarchy, and layout principles designed to keep the brand consistent across print, apparel, and digital formats.
The resulting system allows Rising Stars Cricket Academy to show up cohesively across billboards, training kits, caps, branded equipment, social media, and event collateral—while preserving the brand’s energetic and performance-led character.
